Heinkel He-162 Salamander (3x)

The Heinkel He-162 was developed and produced in just a few months. It was the Luftwaffe's desperate attempt to mass-produce a small, inexpensive fighter. Only two He-162s were shot down during their combat missions. However, the short flight duration of only 40 minutes did not allow for any navigation errors, since the aircraft could hardly be controlled without propulsion and was lost in such cases.
