The Heinkel He-111 was the Luftwaffe's standard bomber in 1939 and remained in service at the end of the war.
A striking feature was the asymmetrical, fully glazed fuselage nose.
The He-111 was also used as a torpedo bomber and transport aircraft.
After the end of the war, Spain produced around 250 He-111s under the designation CASA 2.111B, which were in service until 1970.
