P-47D Thunderbolt (3x)

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was the heaviest single-engine fighter of World War II. Due to their small radius of action, the P-47s were only used in small numbers in the Pacific War. From 1943 onwards, the P-47s were used in increasing numbers as fighter-bombers in the European theater of war because of their robust construction. 15,683 P-47s were manufactured until 1945.
