Junkers Ju-87 B Stuka

The Junkers Ju-87, with its articulated wings and fixed landing gear, was a dive bomber capable of very precise attacks. Especially at the beginning of the war, it became a symbol of the German Air Force. As the war progressed, it became increasingly clear that the Stuka needed fighter escort protection.
